From The Ground Up Course PLO
After watching the RFI videos, I still find it difficult to play the different hand categories. For example, we can look at what’s said about the slide I attached where it says “Strong broadway pairs with suit.” The category is explained with examples that we would look for like:
KKQx with a K-high suit
KKT8 with a K-high suit
QQK5 double-suited
But what’s i felt is missing is the actual lowest hands in each category, which would make it much easier to learn the ranges the way the instructor says he memorizes them himself. So when I’m playing now even after watching the video a couple of times I keep running into hands that feel close, and I’m unsure whether they’re opens or not. So i mark them and try to study them after the session based on the material in the course, but i still sit with multiple hands that i am not sure off is a RFI or not after looking at he instructor explaining that spesific hand category in that position.
It also feels like I’ll need to spend more money on something like an online trainer or solver outputs just to learn the tresholds. The examples feel a bit too general to me.
I’d appreciate any input and tips here, or if there is any extra material for us that have bought this course to use for playing RFI ranges like a pro in PLO. I know that we have to adjust GTO PLO RFI ranges to the table aswell, but would be great to know the thresholds for each position and hand category.
