I like the rapid fire hand examples for a specific spot.

4:00 you fold the k with no backup but 7:00 the jj calls with no backup other than a bdsd. The k blocks some of his made hands whereas the jacks if anything block bluffs. It's quite confusing.

Thanks!

Nice deep run and great series. I appreciate the depth you went with node locking.

I've found the longer I play the more I deviate and experiment or just do what I feel is best and not worry about looking bad. It has taken time though.

Thanks!

As always, thank you for the great response.

Cory Mikesell in his latest video on 2-7sd used a tool called vertex to drill 2-7sd. He said you can drill any game in it. Do you have any experience with this tool?

Sept. 20, 2026 | 12:36 p.m.

Enjoyed the play and commentary.

Looking forward to the river bluffing in 3 way pots video.

Thanks!

Really enjoy your quiz videos. I'm open to any quiz but maybe something on 3rd street stud high. I think you did one on stud8 already.

I got a 93 but I adjusted to pure flatting 1 card draws from the bb vs utg after an early quiz answer said to do that. Otherwise I would have continued to 3bet 1 card draws from the bb vs utg.

Hand 6, vs utg but you are ep or mp would you 3bet?

Hand 10 vs tighter ranges will you fold all 2 card 8 draws from the bb?

Hand 11 if you are in any other position besides bb and you face a raise and call do you 3 bet all 1 card playable draws?

If ep opens and mp 3bets and you are mp or lp will you cold call good 2 card hands like 752 742 or do you need to be on the btn?

What about 542, 532 or hands with a 6 like 762 632?

Thanks!

Sept. 19, 2026 | 1:15 a.m.

Enjoyed the live play.

31:15 table 1 88, the fold seems tight. Do you never have a call range here?

Would 88 be mixed for you or is it a pure fold and 99 becomes a mix 3bet or fold?

Thanks!

Sept. 19, 2026 | 12:38 a.m.

Glad you covered the river play.

22:00 leading the ace is not something I would have ever thought to do. Will look for this spot in the future.

Thanks!

Sept. 19, 2026 | 12:29 a.m.

Enjoyed the series and your talk about keeping bets back to give yourself the opportunity to make more decisions in the future and give yourself a chance. You mention this is what hellmuth does. I have an internal script when facing big decisions in tourney play and part if that is asking if i should hellmuth it and fold. It has saved me more than once and allowed me a deeper run.

Sept. 17, 2026 | 10:49 p.m.

Really great stuff on mw play. We need more mw content here.

24:00 solver doesn't fold these second or third pairs at all. Strictly raise or call. That is hard to do especially in live games where you are going to nearly always get called by btn and bb very often overcalls. Visibility sucks especially on such a wet board making barreling properly difficult.

Thanks!

Sept. 17, 2026 | 10:27 p.m.

Enjoyed the all cards up review. Congrats on the win!

Sept. 17, 2026 | 9:58 p.m.

Enjoyed the review.

8:35 do you ever develop a leading range when the top card pairs? He did size up on flop but it wouldn't suprise me if he was still basically range betting.

43:00 i feel like we should barrel turn. We have all the ak and sets and he will be very 1 pair heavy with all of those pairs beating us. As played maybe bluff jam river.

Thanks!

Sept. 16, 2026 | 6:57 p.m.

Great video especially for those of us that play tournies more than cash. As always your graphs are very well done.

Adding in some of the bb defense strat was very helpful.

Thanks!

Sept. 15, 2026 | 10:54 p.m.

34:30 I was really thinking you would get some bluff raises here but I guess it's a massive overbluff. Would the river bluff raising range be similar in 6max with the jt again being a massive overbluff?

Thanks!

11:00 so if brewer had a bad draw under the ten should he xr and then check decide on the end?

Sept. 12, 2026 | 6:50 p.m.

Enjoyed the review.

41:30 i end up betting lower flush draws here more often as they lack sdv and i may be able to fold out enough hands that if i pair up on the river i might be good. Does solver not like that because we are overbetting and end up isolating vs stronger draws?

Would it be more of a thing if we sized down?

Thanks!

Sept. 11, 2026 | 6:31 p.m.

Enjoyed the analysis

I always understood texas mike to be a decent player with some tourney results. I might be wrong though.

7:30 should sb just be rng checking and overbetting when he does bet?

Thanks!

Sept. 10, 2026 | 6:35 p.m.

Great intro video! I have picked up many of these concepts over the years by watching your videos and this is a great consolidation of all of it.

26:00 it shows one of the weakest hu hands you will defend is 743 but mw you will go 843. Shouldn't you flip those? Same for 763 and 863.

Thanks!

Sept. 8, 2026 | 10:38 p.m.

Enjoying the series.

26:00 interesting exploit on the reraise. Would you also take this line if he had been utg?

Thanks!

Really appreciate the fact you go into this showing your mistakes and exploring the answers with us.

Thanks!

Really appreciate that outstanding, thorough response and the book references. Enjoyed the Jimmy Carr reference.

You mention the players that had the benefit of the boom era and soft online sites. But so many players have exploded onto the scene since black Friday, and even since covid. They study no doubt, but i wonder how much of it is that one big score that snowballs. I guess that goes hand in hand with what you said about the 100 guys not being winners in mid stakes.

Glaser and yuri have always been interesting to me since I started playing mixed games. They were around forever online but it seems so recent that they blew up, at least live. What constitutes poker IQ? Is it purely objective study/math or does that also involve head games/exploits? Can all of that be trained?

So are we really seeing the beginning of modern day xmen? It's fascinating to think some people may have some extra sensory things going on. Or maybe it is just the ability to read people and situations better. Like the best police detectives.

Genetic ceilings make sense. Look at bodybuilders. You can jam the same steroids in your body as ronnie coleman but never reach that level. I can study calculus all day long but never truly grasp it. Is it brain wiring? I can look at icm sims all day and still not have the patterns fully click whereas you see the patterns and understand the concepts right away. Add in a better memory and you are way ahead.

Your last paragraph resonates the most with me. There are local guys with 7 figures on hendon that smash local events/mspt but don't make big splashes on bigger stages. I rack my brain trying to figure out how to get even a taste of that.

Sept. 5, 2026 | 5:54 p.m.

Enjoyed the vids and definitely looking forward to the multiway stuff coming up.

1:35 table 3 aq the turn delay was interesting. Is it for value?

Thanks!

Sept. 4, 2026 | 12:32 a.m.

I'll look into vertex. Other than running sims in troutulator and ppt, I haven't found a good way to train. Thank you!

Sept. 3, 2026 | 1:28 a.m.

You said at the end of the video you weren't world class and have been stuck on the mid/upper mid for awhile yet you grind and study everyday. You likely dig just as deep as the best.

That has always interested me in what gets someone over the hump to that world class status? If you are already busting your ass studying, playing professionally, and maximizing your time, what does it?

Is it just the old thought that there is only 1 LeBron or Jordan or Kobe and no matter how good a basketball player is they just have something extra?

Is it biological? Is it a better memory, a better thought process, a different way of looking at problems sort of like how autistic people process math or music differently?

Is it just variance and better results?

I'm curious your take on this.

Sept. 2, 2026 | 11:17 p.m.

It would be cool to see a little of the hu with your analysis. Maybe a single video to show and talk about some of the nuances.

4:30 if the raise had come from a tighter ep player should bambrick fold?

26:00 does it change if bambrick had the nut low draw instead?

Thanks!

Sept. 2, 2026 | 10 p.m.

Really like this all cards up format for the entire tourney. Glad you are doing it. We have had cards up final tables a lot but we haven't had the whole tourney very many times over the years.

Thanks!

Sept. 1, 2026 | 3:20 a.m.

23:50 why does bambricks hand prefer hu? He has good high potential with the ak and the ace is suited. He of course has good low potential with the a2. I understand wanting to 3bet blom in general for value, but would his hand also do well mw?

37:00 with negreanus cold call it seems very likely he has an a2. Bambrick knows this and knows he doesn't have good high potential at the moment. Wouldn't bambrick want to check back more often than not?

Sept. 1, 2026 | 3:19 a.m.

Glad to have the hi lo content.

15:22 in deeper stacked spots do you ever flat call with these high only aa hands? Having no low potential it seems we wouldn't want to bloat the pot preflop.

25:00 you said btn should continue. Is that just becaise he has the Ah?

Thanks!

Sept. 1, 2026 | 3:17 a.m.

Enjoyed the review. Can we get a part 2?

22:28 table 1 qt vs a lot of players can you overbet with trip aces on the river? I feel like recs, at least in live play, may actually call with a k or lighter here vs overbet.

24:08 table 4 66 what is the biggest squeeze 3bet size you will call?

Thanks!

Sept. 1, 2026 | 3:15 a.m.

Enjoyed the change up to some cash content.
I'm surprised by how many short stackers there were. A few stacks 50bb and under.

Sept. 1, 2026 | 3:14 a.m.

You mention that the longer part series don't get as many views but as you say, there is a lot of value to seeing every stage.

Learned a lot fron all the preflop sims you show.

3:23 shows the bb using a 9bb 3bet rather than jam. That is not something i have considered and would likely exclusively use a jam or fold strat. Do you use the smaller 4bet rather than the jam?

Thanks!
