The blocking side of it matters too. With top two, you block a lot of their natural top-pair hands. With top–bottom, you don’t, so letting them keep betting with worse makes more sense.

Nice work, but I would consdier a 20 buy-ins bankroll to be quite aggressive and 30 to be more balanced, while for the conservative strat I would put 50 buyins

This is a pattern I often encounter on flop, both facing cbets, and as a stab opportunity ip.
2pair with the top and bottom card is slowplaying quite frequently, but I couldn't come up with a satisfying reason for why.
All that I heart was something like "Top two is stronger and bottom two unblocks top pair, while top-bottom gets counterfeited on mid card pairing" or something along those lines but it doesn't completely convince me.

Played reasonably, but why do you open to 3.5bb ?

What range of hands are we assigning to villain here?
2pair or better

Seems like an easy calldown vs someone who is clearly a rec.
Easy to think it was a mistake after he shows the better hand, but I don't think it is.

Ignition has some problems with bots, but I wouldn't say it's rigged.
I know many players who win consistently up to 1k nl.

It looks like your 3bet frequency is extremely low. Give a look to GTOwizard's preflop ranges, they are free.

I'm curious how did you find out that suited Ax were losing ?
Dec. 15, 2023 | 7 p.m.
Could be a variety of factors: rake structure, open size, 3bet size of villains, option to limp SB, option to coldcall the open raise from SB/BTN/CO/HJ, or just different algorithms used by solvers. Don't think it's very important anyway.
Pick the chart that is closer to the game you play. If you play nl2 I'd just pick gtowizard 50nl charts and it should be reasonably close.
In theory yes, in practice not so much. I expect nl2 to be quite soft with multiple loose players per table, who probably don't care much if you're opening 2.5bb or 3bb. Which means you'll get called roughly the same but for a larger pot, effectively increasing the average rake paid. It makes sense exploitatively to open bigger AND tighter (compared to the chart you picked) when your opponents refuse to fold preflop.

Just found about Rocket Solver, it's pretty cool. Low hardware requirements and very fast at solving multiway.

Pio edge solves preflop heads up, but there are better alternatives for preflop imo

Here's a rough output of a defense vs 2.5bb

You can use the free trial of Rocket Solver and set up your own sim. It's pretty cool.

The biggest problem I see is on textures you're mixing bet and check, you're betting too strong of a range and checking too weak. If you bet all strong hands then you'll end up overfolding to turn probes. Betting all draws is also a mistake in the context of this strategy.
If you ask me, you can probably get away with rangebetting most textures.
I recommend freenachos' video "Building Simple and Effective Flop Strategies"

1) You want to range bet the textures where you have a significant advantage. Looking at preflop range, we see that our off-suit threshold is around 9x (J9o,Q9,K9o are opening pure preflop, whereas we have far less 8x and lower). This matters because there offsuit hands make for a big part of the overall range.
So I would rangebet any board with 2 cards 9 or higher.
I would also rangebet any K high texture and Q-J high disconnected.
Range check rest.
Range check also any monotone flop as BB has more suited hands.
2) If you want to simplify to a small rangebet you're not going to make any big mistake in theory as you'll naturally have an advantage on almost every board vs the average fish, but there will be usually be a better exploitative option, as you get sample on them. Vs some of them you can get away with sizing for your hand strength.
3) That's a very complex topic and one i'm not very familiar with, but in general you can probably get away with playing quite faceup at 25nl, as most multiway pots involve a fish, and there's not much incentive to bluff. Keep in mind that value thresholds goes up significantly, meaning that you'll need a better hand to bet or raise for value.
If you buy PIOsovler Pro you'll be able to answer to a lot of questions like this on your own. Price went down recently too. GL

Just change poker room and play normal tables. GG charges too much rake and zoom is notoriously harder to beat, due to recreationals playing tighter.

You don't really need private coaching to beat 2nl, free training material should be enough, or an Essential RIO subscription. Start by looking at preflop ranges on GTOWizard, it's free.

Agreed, donk turn is better.
The issue with the small river donk is we prevent ourselves from getting all the money in. Both turn donk and turn x/r leave this option open.

17:30 with 55, what do you think about blocking 25% river for value ?
Feb. 5, 2023 | 6:07 p.m.
Against recreational players it might be better to just think in terms of "what does my hand want to accomplish".
Usually your nuts want to get stacks in by the river (see geometric sizing)
Strong and vulnerable hands want to bet bigger early
middling and vulnerable pairs wants to bet smaller for protection against overcards, but not so big that you're rarely winning at showdown.
Weak hands with showdown value (very weak pairs, A high) usually want to check and try to get to showdown.
Hands with no showdown value want to bet as big as you need to make fold the opponent's portion of the range that you're targeting, while keeping your outs "alive" if possible (retaining equity). Strong draws usually want to bet bigger to build the pot for the times you improve.
These are just guidelines and the correct action will depend on the actual texture, spot, and player profile. I would adivse to play few tables and think deep at every decision point as you'll improve faster. 2NL can be a great training ground to learn how to exploit weak players.

I used to fold this but I watched a freenachos video and he says he's calling here down to JTo. It was a HU pot but here the odds are even better

Sorry then. But I don't understand what you mean in that paragraph. What's a natural top pair? And why top-bottom 2pair doesn't block it ?
