Strategy update
Recently been a bit confused on the flop. GTOW has so many solutions now that it's easy to focus on the minutia and dont really improve on what matters. Decided to stick with just b33 on the flop. Wont bet range where it loses too much EV but will simplify my sizing.
At this stage of my career I think I will benefit more from distributing my study time throught all the highest EV formations and get through them more times than focusing on the depth of each one.
I find it difficult to play against loose passive limpers and I found that I was playing too loose versus them which led to a lot of OOP and multiway play. Ill tighten my ranges for now and see how it goes.

Disclosure: Daily rant coming before some pre-session review.
Consistency is the harder skill there is.
Because every other skill requires it. It's funny how people can look at a working/ training schedule or a goal someone is pursuing and say: "it's simple" or "if I wanted I would do that." But that's the thing, simple isn't easy. Almost no one really wants it. Showing up and doing the boring work is hard, requires commitment. Someone who is strong enough to show up and put the work without someone calling him for it, that's a scary individual.
Some hands I felt unsure:*
SB vs BB 3b.
wasnt sure if hes supposed to range bet, seems fine due to the overpair advantage. Hell have more air but some of those Ax and broadways offsuit will have strong FD.
This type of suited Ax seemed too strong to fold, weak to raise (better PP with heart IMO) so called.
GTOW recommens BB cbet very very low freq. Turns out SB has a massive flush advantage. Makes sense cause BB has a lot of offsuit stuff that SB doesnt have along with a tighter range. SB raises a lot against that. Locking BB range bet now sb raise doubles. SB raises a lot of no made hand, mostly suited connectors that fold out better stuff like Khi and Ahi. Low PP call a lot and also raises TP half the time. BB just has so many autofolds.
T86r sb 3b vs HJ. Pool doesnt like to fold PP so they hit this board more than GTO so have been checking a lot. Comparing GTO with a range with more PP solver checks pure but still raises a lot against a stab. TP+ raises almost pure (I was missing that in fear of the trips but as they still call PP and backdoor suited stuff makes sense to raise. If they fold KQs, KJs, AJs vs raise it becomes tricky but dont know that. Also think we have to fold a ton against shove, dont believe people will slowplay as much as solver
QJo bb vs btn, called pre. Flop AJTcds, xc b33, turn 3c, xx, river Ks. Wasnt sure if my range wanted to have bets. Villain doesnt have much Qx cause he barrels a lot of them on the turn but we also have a bunch of pairs and even 2p that arent super happy to put money in. Felt I had more str8 and a polar range while he had a middling/ condensed range so I bet 75. bluffs will have to be Tx I guess.
GTOW aggrees with my reasoning. Jx and Kx call my bet 40% of the time and TP 50%. I think its an easy spot to miss bluffs and I think I would struggle to find the right calls on the button.
Defended 53s bb vs co 2.2x J98shs, xc b40. turn Kh XX, river Ah.
Felt like we want to have bets cause he doesnt have many Ax to reopen, mostly Ax spades that x turn. Felt like our Kx and Ax wanted to bet sometimes to valuebet against Jx and Kx. A blockbet makes sense with those hands and flushes. Maybe only block size with all??
Solver also has an allin size. Sure, we have many flushes that IP doesnt have. hes capped so we use a big sizing as he wont ever raise cause he doesnt have enough value. Jx of hearts shoves a lot, makes a lot of sense cause blocks all the flushes that IP can have. If people dont check J8, AK, KK, AA on the turn will be very easy to be an autoprofit allin i think. lol

Session recap*
Ran well today, won 3buy ins
Today was much better, felt lighter mentally, forgave me more for my mistakes and enjoyed playing.
I love poker and the process so much but the need for results sometimes clouds the joy that the game should bring. At the end of the day, I'm lucky to be playing a game I love at home instead of working a 9 to 5.
During the session realized I need to improve some key aspects against recreationals.
First I need to reduce multi street low EV bluffs. Mainly cause they are unpredictable and when they overcall turn I'll have few rivers favorable to bluff. I could instead play those hands more on delayed lines after they give more information about their holding.
Second I have to pull back on bluffing spots where the EV of the bluff comes from them folding a significant portion of their top pair region, even more on spots where they feel they dont have better to call.
In short need to focus my game against recreationals more around value and cheap bluffs.

Hard session, things started really well and then turned, lost 3 buy ins which isn't a big deal but just didn't feel confident.
This hand vs a 80 vpip guy. He called the turn quick and I think he has a lot of 3rd and 2nd pairs that get to the river and fold, also don't want to lose to random 3x or 5x of spades.
This one was weird cause he used a sizing on the turn that I don't think he has 2p or better so raised to charge draws and Ax. River a lot of my perceived bluffs improved but JT looked like had some showdown and he still has Qx and 7x of diamonds.
Here his sizing flop is weird cause he' repping QT+ and I have tons of calls, looks like he wants to keep my range wide? Doesn't look like an overbluffed spot so without info shouldnt deviate and I have musch better hands to call. Didnt consider the fold on the turn but looks mandatory now, the 8 isnt clean and i have tons of better hands to call that can improve.
This one hurt. The guy 3b really quick and its an underbluffed spot so should trust my gut and fold.
On the flop thought about raising assuming he is range betting but think calling and letting him hit an ace is better? Maybe raise with PP with diamond that can bluff later and deny more equity. River my process was: I think this hand in theory is a fold, much better to call with a T or J to block some trips that now shove, PP with diamond seems better aswell. But then I feel like on this stake people are a bit afraid to put the stack in for value so that I dont fold my 88s with diamond or AJ. And it feels like I have a weak capped range i didnt think he would show up much with value. Was clearly wrong and instantly felt bad to deviate this much without info, maybe should stick to defending my range according to his size?!
Of course this type of hand hurts more when all is going bad and the pressure to make things work gets me to tilt more and punish my willingness to be open to possibilities and be creative.
On we go, get some rest, learn from today and show up tomorrow.

First results post.
NL100 , redline pretty bad, I'm folding all 0EV opens aswell as vs 3bet maybe that's a mistake? As long as people don't over3bet against me those folds should be OK, maybe should defend GTO frequencies to prevent them from exploiting my hud?! Population overdefends 3bets at these stakes, maybe that leads to losing redline? Or maybe I need to increase aggression postflop on 3bp.
Other stakes winrate was better, NL25 went sick but NL50 lost. I'm not sure if I should play those or just focus on NL100. The pros of playing are I get to play more hands and practice more, make more $ instead of just waiting for action on NL100. The cons is I lose time to search for NL100 games and context shfting which is a real -EV in terms of focus.
If I get 2 whales on either NL25 or NL50 maybe I should just take that seat right? If I get close to 10bb/100 on those will be hard to beat that on most NL100 spots, no?
Looking at day of the week couldn't find much in common comparing stakes but have an idea on what days feel softer. Hour of the day shows that evening are def. better.
Also stopped playing IPoker cause don't know how to table select without seating and that costs a lot when most regs seem to be using scripts.
Let me know what you think, let's go!

Hi! You can call me Freddy. Been playing 6max cash for a few months now. In critical moments of my life I always got the "What if it goes wrong?", hence the title.
Been really inspired by Freenachos, Orca and Martinelli's blogs here so wanted to have my own “from a dreamer to a crusher” type of blog.
Will post lifestyle type rants aswell. Been dealing with loneliness sometimes and lack of selfworth is definitely one of main life leaks atm.
Poker:
Playing 100nl, mostly EU evenings.
Main leaks are passivity, mostly postflop, tend to look for reasons to protect checking range instead of reasons to fire.
Also need to improve on preflop(stacking off to light with tight population I feel like), 3bet pots post and adjusting to recreationals. Right now I struggle to adapt to high vpip recs and it leads to tilt and stationy plays after.
I think I feel the need to win fast and that leads to lack of disciplined folds on the river and also tilt when I make mistakes.
Will post results and reviews, all feedback is welcomed and please be direct and honest when you disaggree, life is too short to pull back words, LFG!
Turned a corner?
This week went well. Feel like ran well in that 3bets were going through, flop cbets, etc.
Made some changes, didnt feel they were that major but graph changed a lot, redline flatened and blue line started to rise. Got to be aware of low sample tho.
I felt I need to be more deliberate with my study. Focused on one thing at a time but still dont think I was as intentional as I should so will look at my stats for last 50k hands and prioritize my leaks and will be more specific this time.
Leaks to work on this next week:
- BB vs open (im overdefending on some spots)
- BB vs cbet
- SB vs BB stab
- 3BP OOP PFC vs cbet
- 2BP IP PFR vs XR
Last but not least... I will play more hands. Ive been playing 4 tables too much time when I can put another table or 2 even if its lower stakes without sacrificing focus. I am a strong believer on quality over quantity but I think Ive been too comfortable and need to play more to move up.
Lets go!!!*
