I think its time for a refresh of essential mtt coaches, having apotheosis was great but now he's moving up in the world and the roster feels rather stale. Coaches that play a sub 30 abi kinda sucks.

While you do have better hands to call with some % of the time, people just spaz out way too often, especially at the $16.50 buy in level. I think just flick it in and expect to run into boats some of the time, but you'll also see random Tx, straights, worse flushes and some bluffs as well.

I've been thinking about transitioning from mtts to cash and I was wondering what possible winrates there are at various zoom stakes.
What winrates are you guys winning/think is possible at 50,100 and 200nl zoom?

My personal favourite style of video are live videos playing 6-10 tables. BetudontBet style - lots of action and spots.

I would prefer 3 betting or folding pre, its a pretty hand but with only 22bb were too short to flat here. I think I would just fold this hand pre, it kind of sucks to 3 bet this short as stack to pot ratio is very small, and 3 bet folding off 22bb sucks as it dramatically reduces our playability if we fall to 16bbs or so.

Watch videos on here, you can run some sims to get a sense of ranges and how they interact with each other, but most importantly (in my opinion) play a lot!

Games in London, Empire ect... the fish are terrible but there are just 7 good regs also at the table... in my experience, the fish are just as bad at 5/10 as they are at 1/2 except they are much rarer and the regs are alot better.

I'd reshove and isolate him. It would be very difficult if you call and the early limper overcalls 78s or something and then if you don't hit an ace or king on the flop its gonna be very difficult to play.
I think its an easy reshove against someone limping 50% even if his shoving range is tight, unless you've played like 100 hours with this guy you don't know if he can shove KQ or AJ here ect so I think its a mandatory call. + people are prone to spaz out and shove random hands.
I think some of the other people responding don't understand live games at all, 'not calling a 10x raise with worse than AK' - a lot of fish limp like 50% then call any sized iso with any of their limping range.....

GL, what number of tables at what stakes do you think would be most profitable for you? If you're playing poker for your only income, do you think 2x 100nl zoom is enough? Looking forward to updates!

@24.00 Do you think checking back on this flop turns your hand pretty much face up as weak value, or do you check back this flop with KQ/KJ/QT some percentage aswell? Generally check back ranges on Axx flops are so much stronger than cbet ranges, population seems to pretty much cbet bluff every air hand. Would a 1/3 pot cbet with your entire range be more effective?

I like your pre-flop raise, building the pot in position against a weak range with AQ, could even size up against someone limping a very wide range to 280-320ish.
On the flop a c-bet can be very effective in making him fold hands like T9o or 87 that have decent equity and will fold for a small bet. I don't think any pair ever folds to a flop bet. Therefore I would c-bet around 1/3 pot on this dry texture. Betting full pot doesn't accomplish much, better hands will always call and worse will fold.
As played I don't think villain is ever check raising your pot sized c-bet as a bluff on this board. So I would fold flop in your situation. Had you c-bet 175 into 530 on the flop and he check-raised small you could float as AQ high is near the top of your range.

I dont like the reshove with 68s here. I think this hand plays well postflop and is played better as a call. I agree we can reshove wider against someone raising nearly any 2 on the btn, but I would try to use hands with blockers and better raw equity like A3o and K7s to reshove at 21bb deep.

It kind of sucks to flat the 3 bet oop with AQo here, Its a pretty good candidate to turn into a 4bet bluff. Obviously he has Kings here but against someone 3betting 9% this should have a reasonably high success rate.

Playing 200bb deep I would size up every street. I'd raise to 150 pre, then bet between 70-80% pot flop and turn. On this river I think betting or checking is fine, I probably prefer betting in a $1 tourney and checking in a higher stakes tournament. As played I think you can fold river as people just dont bluff rivers much at microstakes.
May 31, 2016 | 11:31 a.m.
I like the line pre and on the flop, personally I would just call turn and give him room to bluff river. K and T are the worst rivers for you but I doubt he would have AK with the flop check then turn bet line, and population probably will overbluff K rivers so I'd just call turn and call any river.

Ah sorry I misread the handhistory and thought vilian 2x pot overbet river shoved, I didn't see your stack size. I think your assumptions on how villain will play their semibluffs is accurate, and therefore river is a call not blocking hearts.

I think from an exploitative point of view you should just fold here, I just don't think mtt regs take lines such as this as a bluff anywhere near close enough for it to be a call.
May 24, 2016 | 1:37 p.m.
I think its close between calling and shoving but I would personally shove. I think people tend to over 3 bet the btn in particular, especially if he feels like an aggro reg. I think you're definitely deep enough for him to be 3 bet folding to your shove. Tough spot if you've only been at the table for 2 orbits though.

The Poker Life Pod is my fave, for those that don't listen I would recommend the pods with Patrick Leonard, Ben86 and then RIO's very own Jason Koon, Ben Sulsky and Jens Kyllonen. Lots of others are great too.

You would reshove 12bbs with 47o? So you would reshove 100% or just 95%? seems somewhat exploitable... but yolo i guess ;)

Do the poker players of 2016 have any new thoughts on this? bump

What would you do with T8/TJ/68/flush draws in this situation? If you would check shove all your draws in this spot then you need to balance with some stronger hands too. It wouldn't be surprising for an accomplished villian to bet call a hand like AJ or KQ because they assume you would check shove all your draws and trap with '7x'. If this is in a $109+ against a reg then I like check shoving, if in the Big 5.50 against a random, I think trapping is better.
Would very much be interested in this, also how to utilise Pio to the greatest extent against the player pool. As in how to use PIO to find the best strategies against the pool because no one actually plays like PIO.
